The Narrator’s Guide to the Universe of Audiobooks

is now available!

This guide is for independent authors who would like to see their completed manuscript turned into an audiobook. The goal is to provide a resource with information to help you on this journey so that you can get the best product made, and to help build your relationship with your narrator.

This guide will be a constant work in progress in an attempt to reflect updated information, as well as to add additional resources as needed or as requested.

Why make an audiobook?

It’s another way to reach an audience and have more people consume the story you have told or the information you want to share.

And the audiobook audience is on the rise. More people are consuming their media while commuting or completing other tasks. Deloitte published their findings in the audiobook market, stating that it is poised for growth. See that study here.

How should I use this resource?

This is a guide to help you find some answers to questions you may have, or to help you figure out what questions you should be asking. It’s a starting point, really, and should not be considered the end-all-be-all of audiobook production knowledge.

This guide should not be constituted as legal advice in any way, shape, or form.
